Process Deactivate Action on Multiple Records using Custom Workflow

In a few of my recent implementation I had the requirement of making modifications to many child records. Some of these processes required the use of an external SSIS package that executed a console application and ran on a schedule, but more recently I had a requirement to simply deactivate multiple child records. This of course can also be done using cascading rules, but it’s a little more complicated once you involve custom filtering.

CRM Exchange Sync support for Dynamics 365

Our CRM Exchange Sync with support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 has just been released, now with additional functionality and support for additional environments. The CRM Exchange Sync application provides the capability of synchronizing between Microsoft Dynamics CRM Marketing Lists and Contacts with Exchange Distribution Groups, Mail Contacts and Mail User records.

Using Multiple User Principal Name Suffixes

When configuring ADFS in your own local the default login of any user authenticating into the environment would be user@domain.local or something of that sort. At many times, especially when working with multiple applications, we would like the user to authenticate using different login credentials such as user@mynewdomain.com. In order to implement this, we can add suffixes that gives us the ability to user a friendly logon name that is not the same as the domain or parent’s domain name.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Launched

Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer announced on Monday, January 17, 2011 the worlwide availability of Micorosft Dynamics CRM Online, the cloud version of the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 release that delivers new levels of productivity for sales, service and marketing organizations. The on-premises and partner-hosted versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 will be globally available on February 28, 2011.
